We are seeking aCategory Manager to provide comprehensive support in managing various aspects of product categories. This role will involve assisting in analysing market trends coordinating with suppliers ensuring accurate reporting maintaining catalogue accuracy and developing relationships with key customers.
We are looking for someone who can essentially run the division which encompasses everything from product development to market analysis to customer sales meetings and more.
Key Responsibilities: Stock Pipeline Ownership:
Assist in managing replenishment orders including monitoring months of cover forecasting and ensuring accuracy.
Support the introduction of new items providing order instructions and maintaining standardized templates.
Assist in placing orders on the system and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
Notify Key Account Managers (KAMs) of new arrivals and facilitate product distribution.
KAM Function Assistance:
Prepare for customer meetings with presentation decks which are numbers and product focussed.
Ensure monthly meetings are scheduled and attended by the key customers the KAMs and themselves.
China Interaction:
Participate in weekly update meetings with China.
Assist in tracking deliveries providing updates on shipping schedules and notifying the team of any delays.
Help in managing QC inspection reports and updating China warehouse stock information.
Coordinate sample followup and handle courier/airfreight arrangements.
Possibility of international travel for sourcing.
Reporting Support:
Assist in generating monthly reports on sales gross profit (GP) stock position customer performance and yeartodate (YTD) position.
Learn how to interpret reports and find solutions to drive growth.
System Accuracy:
Ensure accuracy across various systems including wholesale prices recommended retail prices (RRPs) images forecasts and specifications.
New Item Procedures:
Support the listing of new items including barcode assignment and adherence to naming standards.
Catalogue Ownership:
Support in maintaining uptodate presentations and ensuring accuracy.
Assist in updating the EOL/clearance catalogue and ensuring monthly publication.
Help in maintaining item accuracy including images prices specifications and data.
Assist in managing image ownership ensuring easy access to an organized image library.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in business administration Marketing or related field preferred.
Previous experience in category management retail merchandising or related roles is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detailoriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with inventory management software and retail analytics platforms is an advantage.
