Your next career opportunity
As the Administration Lead for Counselling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at the University of Melbourne youll be at the forefront of ensuring efficient and effective delivery of critical mental health support to students. Youll have the opportunity to oversee administrative operations lead a team and work closely with mental health professionals to optimise service delivery. Your role will directly impact the wellbeing of students making this a key position for those passionate about mental health support and administrative excellence in higher education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Administrative Operations: Oversee and supervise administrative staff ensuring highquality support for CAPS functions and efficient clinic outcomes.
  • Optimise Service Delivery: Work with the CAPS leadership team to minimise waiting times and maximise counsellor schedules.
  • Manage Systems and Programs: Ensure smooth operation of IT systems coordinate workshops and training programs and maintain client databases with utmost confidentiality.
  • Support Leadership Initiatives: Assist with reporting staff onboarding client feedback surveys and marketing efforts to enhance service quality and reach.

You may be a great fit if:

You are a highly organised professional with strong leadership skills excellent attention to detail and a passion for supporting mental health services in a university setting.

You may also:

  • Have a tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of experience in administration preferably in healthcare.
  • Demonstrate experience using computerised appointment and healthrelated management software.
  • Possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including SharePoint and Teams.
  • Have the capacity to manage sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
