About the role:
To provide a high standard of clinical services in a senior clinician capacity to the Scleroderma AHSCT Clinic. To ensure continuity of care and coordinate services for patients referred to the SSc AHSCT clinic to avoid fragmentation of care and to facilitate personcentered care for a centre of excellence. To triage referrals and be the point of contact for referring physicians as well as arranging for interdisciplinary communication where needed. To contribute to clinical research activities of the Rheumatology and Haematology Departments including but not limited to the national AHSCT in scleroderma trial 2ASSURE. To work with finance and the coding unit to ensure that patients are correctly coded for their DRG. To support Rheumatology services for patients with severe scleroderma and other connective tissue diseases as may be required by the Rheumatology HoD and the Director of Cellular Therapies.

Selection Criteria:
Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincents Health Australia.
Possess specialist registration in Rheumatology with the Medical Board of Australia;
Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as per Staff Specialist NSW State Award;
Demonstrated knowledge skills and high standards of clinical practice in Rheumatology commensurate to experience which is appropriate to the requirements of the position.
A demonstrated track record in research in scleroderma.
Experience in promoting multidisciplinary research with other internal medicine units in an academic hospital environment.
Experience or higher degree in scleroderma clinical and laboratory research with a particular emphasis of the role of AHSCT.
Experience in teaching in both the undergraduate and postgraduate setting.
Experience in publishing highquality research (basic translational or clinical research) commensurate with work in an academic teaching hospital environment.
Ability to build and support teams embrace change earn respect and foster loyalty;
Ability to provide compassionate care as evidenced by recent experience in a multidisciplinary team environment;
A demonstrated commitment to teaching at specialty registrar junior medical officer and/or undergraduate levels
