The department of Comparative Medicine at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral fellow. This position will be located at the Clarkson Campus working in Dr. Mark Baxters Laboratory. The Baxter Lab is broadly interested in the neurobiology of cognitive function and how cognition intersects with physiological changes in aging and neurodegenerative diseases. The postdoctoral research fellow will have the opportunity to develop new research directions in collaboration with the Principal Investigator which could include neuromodulation of cognitive function designing and validating new behavioral tests of cognitive and functional status in aging nonhuman primates and electron microscopic and transcriptomic analyses. Prior research experience with nonhuman primates in a research setting is extremely helpful but not essential. PhD or equivalent required.
