Job Description
Are you ready to suit up
We are looking for security guards to work in the retail sector With our client in the North York and Toronto area. As a member of the GardaWorld team your primary role is to ensure the safety and security of client assets tenants and visitors to the assignment area in a professional and courteous manner.
What youll be doing
- Perform patrols on foot
- Provide excellent customer service to everyone on the property
- Work closely with the retail services as well as with the emergency services when appropriate
- Assist visitors guests and the staff with respect to safety requests for directions escorts package transportation lost vehicles etc.
- Apply property rules and regulations in a fair and responsible manner
- Write daily and incident reports
- Intervene during medical emergencies and provide first aid
- Be prepared to respond to situations of crime urgency and disturbance
- Answer and follow up on phone calls received by the security service

What were looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possession of a valid provincial security guard licence
- First aid and CPR certification
- Availability to work rotating shifts
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Available to work shift work including weekends and overnight as required
- Ability to exercise sound judgment under stressful situations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment
- Knowledge of criminal provincial and federal laws as they pertain to the security industry
