Velocity Care is a dynamic fastpaced urgent care system with seven regional sites located in southwest VA delivering highquality acute care for patients of all ages. Our providers manage a broad range of conditions from upper respiratory infections minor fractures lacerations and more. We offer a balanced mix of scheduled visits and walkins ensuring variety in your practice. Clinics operate from 8 AM to 8 PM seven days a week with flexible scheduling options including 12 10 and 8hour shifts. Providers work primarily at 23local sites but are credentialed across the system maximizing both convenience and staffing flexibility.

Applicants will be required to have graduated from an accreditedPhysician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner program. While prior emergency medicine or urgent care experience is preferred it is not requiredwe provide a thorough orientation/training process. What We Require:
Education:Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required.
Experience:Clinical experience appropriate to specific practice/ department preferred
Licensure/Certification:Current Physician Assistants license (PA) required. DEA licensure required.AHA BLSHCP certification required. Advanced life support is preferred and is required for those who may use a defibrillator in their practice.
Other:Meets credentialing requirements. Qualifies for malpractice insurance and is accepted by Carilion Clinics malpractice insurance carrier. Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Maintains open and supportive communications between all department members and other employees patients and their family members.Commitment to continued professional development.
