Used Car AutoTechnician Responsibilities
- Check over vehicle health inspecting for any component that would require replacement
- Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
- Complete a digital vehicle inspection submitted to Used Car manager
- Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- Inspects vehicle for safety and maintenance needs such as worn brakes or tires.
- Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnoses maintains and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension brakes air conditioning
- Provides an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Used Car AutoTechnician Qualifications
- Previous experience asan automotive technician
- Strong understanding of the service repair order process
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Great with using computers typing and utilizing modern digital inspection processes with smart phones
- Positive friendly attitude along with a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a fastpaced environment
- Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively
- Ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Willing to submit to preemployment drug screen and background check
