What would you be doing
We are seeking a curious highly skilled and detailoriented Sr. Accounts Executive to join our dynamic team. This role requires good understanding of accounting and accounting standards experience in financial reporting tax compliance and collaboration with external partners. The successful candidate will have high integrity and have a good understanding of controls processes and a strong sense to uphold these controls. This role requires strong communication skills (both in verbally and in writing) and requires working knowledge of the English language.
The Sr. Account Executive supports the Manager Accounts & Finance in ensuring accurate financial data reporting adherence to (payroll & Direct and Indirect) tax regulations and effective collaboration with external accounting and payroll providers.
External provider management
- Assist the external accounting and payroll provider to ensure accurate recording and reporting of all expenses in line with (external/statutory) financial reporting requirements and company policies.
- Collaborate closely with internal India teams (HR Finance) and internal global finance accounting team (Sydney/Chicago) and to ensure adherence to company policies and timelines.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and process streamlining
Accounting
- Accounts payables
- Accounts payable Assist completeness of Vendor review and monitor payments as per due dates.
- Employee reimbursement
- Corporate credit card Management
- Month end /year end closure activity
- Assist and perform the month and yearend closing processes including preparation / review of reconciliations
- Monitor Provisions/accruals
- Preparation of flux analysis.
- Balance sheet Reconciliation
- Assist Payroll Management
- Monthly pay roll Reconciliation
- Peridium Management
- Asist with external accounting payroll provider for Employee tax compliance Employee tax proof submissions and declarations.
- Weekly update of cash flow forecasting
Regulatory compliance
- Audit support
- Preparation of Financials statement audit schedule and support documentation for Statutory audit Transfer pricing and GST audit
- Financial reconciliation
- Support towards ROC compliances and filings
- Assist and prepare all documentation required for compliance with local laws and regulatory requirements focusing on Direct and Indirect tax GST MCA ROC and RBI.
- Assist/review monthly TDS Returns GST Returns and refunds.
- Monitor and regularization of Softex returns and EDPMS
- Assist in Validate HR inputs before submission to payroll to providers to ensure compliance with regulatory payroll requirements including PF TDS EDIC LWF and PT.
Procurement & expense management
- Bachelor of Commerce / Master of Commerce; and
- CA Inter is not a prerequisite but is considered as favourable.
Skills knowledge and experience
- 6 years experience in corporate accounting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory frameworks / compliance from India perspective.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data identify trends and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Experience accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. Netsuite Adaptive PowerBi etc) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and
- Working knowledge of English (both verbal and in writing).
