Pay:$18.00 $20.00/ hour

Company Overview:

Dalton Motors is located less than 20 minutes from most areas of San Diego. Founded in 1945 Dalton Motors is a family owned and operated business with over 35 dealerships serving major manufacturers including Subaru and others. We have ongoing training for our staff including training from the manufacturer new product online training and job specific training by our inhouse trainer. Our dealership runs smoothly in large part due to our solid processes and trained skilled staff many of whom have been here for twenty years or more.

Some of What Youll do:

  • Greet customers warmly and listen to their concerns about their vehicle. Ensure they feel heard valued and understood throughout their service experience.
  • Accurately schedule service appointments ensuring that customers needs are addressed in a timely manner. Work closely with the service team to communicate customer requirements and service expectations.
  • Clearly communicate the scope of work required for each vehicle explaining the process and estimated time of completion. Ensure customers understand all repair or maintenance recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the parts department to ensure that the necessary parts are available for scheduled repairs. Keep customers informed if there are any delays or changes in parts availability.
  • After service completion check that all customer concerns have been addressed and ensure their vehicle is returned in the same clean condition as when it arrived.
  • Provide a high level of customer service ensuring that each customer leaves satisfied with the service they received. Address any complaints or issues with professionalism and care working to resolve them quickly.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of all services performed repairs recommended and customer interactions. This documentation helps ensure the best possible customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations within the service department. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for both customers and the team.
  • Work closely with technicians and other service department staff to ensure smooth communication and the efficient completion of all service requests. Help create an environment where customers receive prompt friendly and professional service.
  • Stay uptodate on the latest service offerings manufacturer updates and customer service techniques to continually improve the customer experience.

What we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience is a required preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Ability to interact with customers clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
  • Passion for providing outstanding service and solving customer problems with empathy and patience.
  • Basic understanding of automotive systems or a willingness to learn (training provided).
  • Ability to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
  • Works well in a team environment and can stay effective under pressure.
