Job Description
Pay Range : $19 $30/hr on W2
The Biosample Assistant and Biosample Coordinator roles support sample management activities within a CAP/CLIA laboratory. The Biosample Assistant is an entrylevel position requiring a high school diploma while the Biosample Coordinator requires a high school diploma with 4 years of experience or a bachelors degree. Both roles involve accessioning samples ensuring data accuracy and following laboratory safety and documentation protocols. The Coordinator additionally oversees process improvement workstreams in the BioSample Management Group.
Responsibilities:
- Receive open and triage sample shipments perform sample accessioning label samples and conduct quality control checks.
- Ensure accuracy of demographic data input and manage the team email to ensure timely completion of requests.
- Handle communications regarding held or rejected samples.
- Image stained slides and ensure deliverables are met within deadlines.
- Lead and manage deliverables for assigned process improvement initiatives within the BioSample Management Group.
Skills:
- Knowledge of CAP CLIA and regulatory standards with strong attention to documentation and data accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams and manage sample requests.
- Strong organizational skills to ensure accurate labeling data management and adherence to timelines.
Education and Experience:
- Biosample Assistant: High school diploma required.
- Biosample Coordinator: High school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience or a bachelors degree.
