Job Description
This position will be shared between Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester Methodist Campus and Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester Saint Marys Campus with approximately 25 in the Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester Methodist Campus wound care practice consisting of a rotation of approximately 3 weeks each quarter 12 weeks per year). The remainder of the year will be primarily scheduled in general acute at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester Saint Marys Campus. This individual may be scheduled for additional time to cover the Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester Methodist Campus wound care practice as needed during the off wound care weeks and will also be oriented to the general medical practice at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester Methodist Campus.
Therapists are responsible for the application of current knowledge theory evidence and sound clinical judgment in patient management. The therapist works closely with the patient family and other members of an interdisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective individualized patient care. Therapists also serve as advocates and promoters of health wellness and fitness to all stakeholders. They serve as educators and mentors for therapy students peers and other medical professionals. The physical therapist assists with department and program planning.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota as a Physical Therapist. Demonstrated skills in the areas of organization communication interpersonal relations leadership decision making and problem solving.
Prefer board certification in clinical specialty area and/or advanced degree in health care field.
Also prefer active participation within professional organization. Current physical therapy licensure in the state of Minnesota.
