The cell and gene analytical technologies team (CGAT) within Vertex cell and genetic therapies (VCGT) is seeking an individual for 12month contract who is able to:
- Work on a WednesdaySunday schedule and flexible to work in both locations of Vertex buildings within 1.0mile distance when required.
- Actively involve in routine testing to support process development and characterization and release assays for identity potency genome profiling and impurities for Vertex preclinical clinical and next generation cell therapy programs.
- Perform sample testing for analytical development team by using variety of techniques; (e.g. platebased potency ELISA MSD PCR residual impurity characterization RNA profiling).
- Support weekend work for process and analytical development teams on several assays as required.
- Report on project progress and reports or present data effectively at internal group or project team meetings as needed.
- Responsible for shipment handling and receiving of samples and reagents within and outside of Vertex.
- Manage and track inventory for sample and reagents as needed for several projects.
- Participate in a data management activity to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Be a strong team player contributing to group priorities and deliverables.
- Maintain excellent written documentation of completed experiment (ELN) and maintain knowledge share systems (MSTeams and share points).
- Ability to follow and understand SOPs and review protocols or reports as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
BS or MS in Analytical Chemistry Biochemistry Cell & Molecular Biology or related discipline with BS 02 years experience or MS with 0 years experience
Skills Required:
- Possesses excellent pipetting skills.
- Possess standard lab safety regulations and work in GLP like laboratory environment
- Has experience with molecular platebased techniques like ELISA MSD PCR qPCR ddPCR flow cytometry etc.
- Has excellent communication skills and effectively able to work collaboratively with cross functional teams
- Ability to utilize Microsoft PowerPoint Excel and Word to perform tasks as assigned.
- Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
Skills Preffered:
- Industry experience in cell and gene therapy space.
- Experience with sample management and ELN/LIMS systems.
- Experience working withpluripotent/hematopoieticstem cells.
Pay Range
$32$34/HR
