DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Custodial Work Supervisor you will supervise custodial employees and provide a safe clean odorfree and comfortable environment for patients staff and visitors at Norristown State Hospital. You will schedule assignments develop goals and prioritize work projects. You will also conduct onsite inspections review finished work and maintain quality control standards. This role requires strong leadership and effective communication skills to instruct staff in the proper handling of equipment chemicals andinfectious wastewhile adhering tosafety precautions for potentially hazardous materials. In addition you will submit requisitions for custodial supplies complete reports and prepare employee performance evaluations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch. You will work two 2 out of every six 6 weekends and rotating holidays. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Custodial Worker 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- Two years of experience performing custodial work.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
