As a member of the Senior Management Team the Special Projects Manager will play a critical role in advancing our mission through the management and of key strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Programs and working collaboratively within the senior leadership team the Special Projects Manager identifies and pursues projects that further organizational strategic priorities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and exceptional written communication skills. This individual will oversee the planning and evaluation of assigned projects that are undertaken by the Senior Management Team many of which are expected to fall within the Community Economic Development realm. The role requires someone who is proactive adaptable organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership team members to identify and prioritize strategic projects that align with the organizations strategic plan.
- Lead and manage a variety of projects aimed at achieving key project outcomes ensuring they are executed on time within scope and within budget.
- Develop clear concise and compelling written materials such as project proposals reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct research and provide recommendations on best practices funding opportunities and relevant partnerships that could support current and future projects.
- Work with various teams to ensure project coordination progress tracking and smooth .
- Monitor and evaluate project outcomes providing feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community partners stakeholders and funders.
- Contribute to the development of funding proposals and reports to support project initiatives.
- Represent the organization at relevant community events workshops and networking opportunities.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working on projects within various departments as needed at different times.
- Participate in staff skill building training and oversight of team members when necessary.
- Support data organization efforts optimizing efficiency and systems usage.

Additional Information:
- Travel: This role requires regular travel within the assigned region.
- Work Environment: In office work is required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in nonprofit management project management public administration community development business or related field. A masters degree is a plus.
- Experience in community economic development initiatives is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clear reports proposals and other materials.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong organizational and problemsolving skills with attention to detail and a solutionsoriented mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with using various technological tools and ability to learn.
- Proven trackrecord of exemplifying KES values.
