Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Egypt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting the companys financial health. This role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
Financial Accounting:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including journal entries reconciliations and general ledger activities.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and local/International GAAP.
Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
Support the external and internal audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Be familiar with Company Inter co transactions and reconciliations
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Ensure timely invoicing collection of receivables and payment of obligations.
Monitor and analyze aging reports and follow up on overdue balances.
Taxation & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local tax laws including but not limited to issuing compliant invoices under Einvoicing PIT VAT corporate tax TP WHT stamp tax etc.
Prepare and submit tax returns on a timely basis and support tax audits.
Ensure accurate tax accounting/ reconciliation is done and working papers maintained supporting all returns filed.
Perform the ETAmandated monthly and quarterly tax reviews.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets forecasts and financial projections.
Work closely with management to support financial planning and decisionmaking.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in accounting and/or Finance.
5 years of experience in accounting preferably in a multinational environment or audit firm.
Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws IFRS and local GAAP
Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills (Arabic & Englis).
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
