Job Description: Head of Engineering
Position: Head of Engineering
Reporting To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Location: Hyderabad.
Experience: 6 years in software development and team management
About the Role
We seek a dynamic and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our engineering team and work closely with the CTO. This role requires a strategic mindset handson technical expertise and strong leadership skills to drive the development of innovative software solutions and manage a highperforming team.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership:
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle and ensure the delivery of highquality scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews to ensure code quality adherence to best practices and optimization.
- Act as a handson technical leader offering guidance on complex technical challenges.
- Team Management:
- Lead mentor and manage a team of fullstack developers and other technical personnel.
- Foster a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous learning within the engineering team.
- Identify training needs and provide growth opportunities for team members.
- Collaboration & Strategy:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including product management QA and operations to align engineering goals with company objectives.
- Contribute to the company s technical roadmap in collaboration with the CTO.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
- Process Improvement:
- Implement and optimize agile development processes and best practices for efficient team workflow.
- Drive continuous improvement in the engineering team s processes tools and technology stack.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a FullStack Developer with a deep understanding of front and backend technologies.
- Strong expertise in modern frameworks programming languages (e.g. JavaScript Python Java etc. and cloud platforms (AWS Azure etc..
- Extensive experience in code review debugging and performance optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead engineering teams effectively.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
