The Assistant Professor of Physiology will contribute to teaching research and service activities within the department. Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:
- Deliver lectures laboratory sessions and tutorials in physiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update course materials syllabi and assessments aligned with current trends and advancements in physiology.
- Mentor and guide students in academic projects dissertations and career development.
- Use innovative teaching methodologies including technologyenhanced learning and simulationbased approaches.
Research:
- Conduct original research in physiology contributing to the institution s research portfolio.
- Publish findings in peerreviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and institutions on interdisciplinary research projects.
- Seek research funding by writing and submitting grant proposals.
Service and Administration:
- Participate in departmental and institutional meetings committees and events.
- Assist in curriculum development and accreditation processes.
- Contribute to outreach programs and student recruitment initiatives.
- Engage in community service related to the discipline of physiology.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
- MD/MBBS with specialization in Physiology or a related field or
- PhD in Physiology or an equivalent discipline from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Prior teaching experience in physiology at a recognized medical or academic institution is preferred.
- Evidence of research activity and publications in indexed journals is highly desirable.
