As a Service Foreman you will be the driving force behind our shop operations ensuring efficiency safety and customer satisfaction. Youll lead mentor and support our technicians while monitoring highvolume workloads to keep our customers on the road.
*This position will work first shift with some Saturdays.
WHAT YOULL DO:
- Lead & Mentor: Provide handson support technical expertise and constructive feedback to help technicians excel in their roles. Foster a positive collaborative shop environment that promotes growth and teamwork.
- Set the Standard: Exhibit outstanding work habits hold team members accountable for highquality repairs and set an example of professionalism efficiency and safety.
- Manage Workflow: Assign jobs based on technician skill level and workload ensuring efficient shop operations and timely repairs. Proactively monitor repair progress and work closely with the Service Dispatcher to prevent delays and optimize scheduling.
- Ensure Compliance & Safety: Maintain a clean organized shop and enforce compliance with company policies safety standards and OEM guidelines to create a safe work environment.
- Customer Interaction: Act as a technical expert when communicating with customers explaining complex repairs in a way that builds trust and ensures clarity.
- Training & Development: Keep the team up to date with technical advancements product updates and OEM training to enhance their skills and expertise. Conduct weekly team huddles to provide important updates and foster open communication.
- Monitor Shop Resources: Oversee shop tools equipment and inventory ensuring everything is in proper working condition and readily available for use. Address any deficiencies to maintain efficiency.
Qualifications :
What Were Looking For:
- Experience: 5 years of heavyduty mechanical experience (DTNA preferred).
- Certifications: HVAC certification required ability to obtain 6 out of 12 DTNA expertlevel certifications within 6 months in role
- Leadership Skills: Strong communication coaching and problemsolving abilities.
- Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to quality work and safety.
- Technical Expertise: Mechanical aptitude welding & fabrication skills a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs. unassisted.
- License: Valid Drivers License and ability to meet insurance requirements (Class A CDL with air brake endorsement preferred).
- Must be willing to participate in a preemployment background check drug screen and physical.
