Dr. Eliana M. Aaron, DNP, APN-BC, CRNP, RN is a US board-certified nurse practitioner and Israeli nurse, who is passionate about ensuring that her clients receive the best quality of health care in Israel. Dr. Aaron has over twenty years of experience as a health care provider and health care coordinator and over sixteen years of experience studying world epidemiology and health trends. During her doctoral studies, Dr. Eliana Aaron focused on health policy and gaps in the delivery of healthcare in the Israeli health care system, sub-specializing in the geriatric health care system in Israel. After graduating from Yale University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program, she founded EMA Care to close the existing gaps in the Israeli health care system. Dr. Aaron worked at the Department of Pain Rehabilitation, Chaim Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer in Ramat Gan and at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem. She has also served as a volunteer family nurse practitioner for the Level Lev Refugee Clinic in Tel Aviv. Before making aliyah in 2002, Dr. Aaron was a Family Nurse Practitioner in New Jersey. Between 2004 and 2012, Dr. Aaron was the Advanced Practice Nurse, Health Unit Supervisor, and Medical Officer of the U.S. Consulate General Jerusalem, where she was responsible for the health care of all US diplomats and family members stationed in or visiting Jerusalem, and VIP visitors, including hundreds of White House, Congressional, Cabinet, and gubernatorial VIP visits. It was during this time that Dr. Aaron was responsible for all pandemic and emergency planning for the US Department of State in Jerusalem. In addition to directing and delivering primary care, she provided care to manage chronic diseases, developed medical emergency plans, arranged access to local medical specialists, and coordinated inbound and outbound medical evacuations. Dr. Aaron has been teaching graduate and undergraduate nursing students for 20 years in both the US and Israel. Her courses range in all areas, including pandemics. She has taught at Hebrew University Hadassah Medical Center, Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Chaim Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, the Jerusalem College of Technology (Machon Tal), and other academic institutions in Israel and the US.
