Established in 2008, Al Thiqa Restaurants Company (Al Thiqa), a local Kuwaiti company, aims to be one of the leading regional corporations in the food and beverage business. The acquisition of Shrimpy, a locally grown concept primarily featuring Shrimp and Fish dishes, played a pivotal role in helping Al Thiqa gain a momentum in the Kuwait Market. In addition to Shrimpy, Al Thiqa currently owns Bushanab, Chicster, Hamborjar, Eggslt, GIA, and The Backburner with more concepts on the horizon, while also focusing on expanding locally, throughout the region and internationally. Al Thiqa Restaurants Company is currently operating in Kuwait, the UAE, Lebanon, the United Kingdom and very soon Iraq, Qatar, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
