Reporting Specialist

Location: Springfield, VA 2215

You will

• Measure the progress of existing accelerated replacement programs using agreed upon metrics.
• Assist with the timely and accurate responses to all regulatory reporting and data requests.
• Complete all internal reporting, including dashboards, accurately and on-schedule.
• Performs routine and ad hoc data analysis and data mining activities related to program operations.
• Monitor consistency of approach and analysis across regulatory and management reports by identifying inconsistencies and correcting any problems.
• Perform data cleansing in systems and reports when identified by working with cross-functional teams within the organization
• Obtain data and perform analyses that support business unit decision-making processes, with the goal of improving corporate performance and compliance with public service commission regulatory reporting.
• Works closely with various business units (e.g. Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Finance, System Planning, Mapping, IT, Operations, etc.) to develop and maintain knowledge of their systems' data and business needs, as well as to produce processes and reports necessary to meet the company's regulatory reporting requirements.
• Assist in the reporting process including creation of new reports, metrics, and dashboards.
• Assist in the comparative analysis of public service commission and Federal regulatory reports over time to ensure accuracy and repeatability and to document methodology and data sets utilized to produce various reports and filings in support of regulatory programs.

You Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, Statistics or other relatable quantitative field.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience performing data analysis to support business decisions, business reporting, and analytical experience.
• Demonstrated ability using Excel, POWER BI, PYTHON, SQL and/or SAS to retrieve, analyze, and present information.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully work on multiple projects with competing timelines.
• Demonstrated strong quantitative skills and ability to create, manipulate, and analyze large data sets.
• Demonstrated ability to use computer software and applications to share, retrieve, research, and present business information to support business decisions.
• 5 years of experience performing data analysis to support business decisions, business reporting, and analytical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of enterprise systems such ARM, Maximo, SAP, Peoplesoft, Powerplant, or GE SmallWorld.
• Working knowledge of regulated utility industry practices.
• Experience using Business Intelligence Tools such as working knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, and M- Power Query scripting.
• Project Management (PMP) or Program Management (PgMP) Certification preferred
• Prior energy industry or regulated industry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with analyzing and interpreting regulatory documents and a general understanding of the regulatory process preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors, subordinates, and peers.
• Demonstrated ability to present complex ideas logically and concisely to diverse audiences at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
