Additional Notes:

MUST be able to work independently and senior enough to drive/carry things through to completion with little oversight/supervision. At the same time, must be willing to be in the weeds and details and roll up their sleeves and do things like submitting tickets in our ticketing system for all tasks, while coordinating, managing and monitoring them (the team uses SysAid comparable systems are ServiceNow, BMC-Remedy).

Job Description:

The Project Manager/Release Manager must have experience managing a diverse portfolio of projects, particularly in the infrastructure / environments space, planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project teams, across infrastructure, operations and development, to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects. Responsible for managing multiple large projects in collaboration with development teams, engineering, infrastructure and operations. Develop work breakdown structure, and help determine resource needs. Report on progress to project stakeholders. Participate in the CM (Change Management) process. Coordinate, submit, monitor and manage all needed tickets (using the client's ticketing system-SysAid) for releases, deployments and tasks.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management Help define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; work with leadership to course correct, when required and perform delivery planning for assigned projects

Team Management Hold teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work.

Process Management and Improvement Define and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to drive project performance and process efficiency

Plan, manage and execute course of relatively large and/or complex project(s) providing day-to-day management and oversight, following established project management methodology

Identify, track and resolve project interdependencies and related execution issues/risks

Actively engage key stakeholders

Develop and manage work breakdown structure for multiple projects

Lead project technical sizing estimation sessions

Track course of project from meetings

Report on progress of project to include milestones, resources and financials

Facilitate, track and manage changes to scope and requirements through established change management process

Required Qualifications:

• Five or more years of managing multiple IT systems implementation projects, particularly projects in infrastructure and operations
• Release management experience, particularly managing change within environments
• Demonstrated ability to work with infrastructure, operations and development teams
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate and drive teams toward delivering and achieving goals
• Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple high-priority tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate at strategic and tactical levels
• Process analysis and systematic thinking
• Ability to prioritize among a large number of requirements/tasks
• Experience with agile and iterative software development methodologies
• PMP Certification
  Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to infrastructure / operations teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
• Financial services experience strongly preferred

Skills Required:

BA or BS or equivalent experience is required

Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building

Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands

Experience with JIRA, SysAid a plus
