13 weeks assignment, 2 years' experience current required in med/surg unit required; orthopedic experience preferred. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. Position will float to other areas as needed. Will float to ED to care for admitted inpatients holding for bed or as helping hands
.CERTIFICATIONS: BLS certification required. BLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. EPIC EMR experience preferred.
SHIFTS: 12 hour night shift position Shift 1900-0730 - 4 Weekend shifts in a 4 week scheduling period Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. On call, weekends and holidays may be required. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts. Ratios 1:4, but may go 1:5 if needed. Floating requirements all travelers within CDS are required to float to all areas in which they are trained, including ED and alternate holding areas to care for appropriate patients. This includes PresNow ED/UCs (freestanding Urgent/Emergent care)ORIENTATION: 1ST week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training. SCRUBS: required and not provided by the facility. White scrub top. Scrub pants in sangria/wine red, plum purple, hunter green or black.
