Manufacturing Engineer

Growing Manufacturing firm in the Mason City, Iowa area has a need for a Manufacturing Engineer. May consider an entry level candidate. This is a full time position with a full benefits package. If interested please send your resume to us.

• Develop waste reduction plans and provide ROI justifications for improvement projects. 
• Utilize 5S principles to organize product workflows and  workstation set-ups. 
• Create standard work for critical processes that  incorporate maintenance schedules to ensure process reliability.
• Establish consistent work procedures across all shifts  based on the best practices to ensure predictable outcomes.
• Provide consistent and ongoing support to production to create a culture of continuous improvement related to safety, quality and efficiency.
• Track and audit the results of improvement projects.
  Requirements:
• 0-5 years’ experience as a manufacturing engineer with at least a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment,  with responsibility for project scope, timeline and budget.
• Experience in building-products or millwork industries a plus.
• Demonstrated hands-on expertise or formal training in lean manufacturing.
• Computer proficient (Office Suite and AutoCAD).
