FederHan Professional Search has partnered with a regional medical center located less than 1 hour West of downtown Milwaukee, WI in their search for Manager of Patient Access.

The person in this roleis responsible for the daily operation of the Hospital patient accessfunctions .This individual coordinates the department functions, personnel, resources, and activities, solves procedural problems and makes independent decisions concerning the efficient operation of the department. The Manager, Patient Accessis responsible for the support of Hospital Scheduling and Prior Authorization activities. Must analyze and solve issues under crucial time constraints. Position operates under limited supervision.Develops and maintains effective working relationships with associates and physicians across the entire enterprise.

Responsibilities:
  • Process improvement/quality improvement experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills including group oral presentations.
  • Comprehends and makes mathematical computations in statistical applications.
  • Working ability with word processing and other PC applications.
  • Operates mechanical equipment and expands knowledge through keeping up with advanced technology.
  • Analytical, creative, adaptable, perceptive, persuasive, methodical, orderly, thorough and enterprising.
  • Initiates work assignments independently without specific direction.
  • Updates and develops personal skills.
  • Demonstrates responsibility and accountability according to legal, ethical, professional, educational, and personal development goals.
  • Applies analytical and participative approach to solving complex problems.


Requirements


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.Prefer within the Business or health care field.
  • At least five (5) years progressive experience in a related healthcare role. Previous supervisory or management experience or related education preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Knowledge of the principles and functions of management and leadership.
  • Knowledge of registration processes and its impact on the accounts receivable, customer satisfaction (revenue cycle).
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications.( Meditech, LSS, RevRunner, ect)
