Information Systems Engineer II

JOB DUTIES: Develop web services to facilitate data exchange between the primary mortgage management system and other auxiliary systems. Design and deploy database systems using SQL server to handle data storage requirements of existing and new applications. Create a reliable software ecosystem with an ideal mix of cloud-native and on premise software solutions. Perform development tests to detect software defects and other performance issues. Analyze software defects and delivery codes to stabilize, optimize, and secure the various software modules. Collaborate with Business Analysts and Software Architects to transform viable business requirements into robust software components. Coordinate with technical and business teams to achieve companywide goals to deliver a better mortgage processing experience to customers. Teleworking is acceptable within reasonable commuting distance of the Irving, TX office. HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday LOCATION: Nationstar Mortgage, LLC d/b/a Mr. Cooper 4000 Horizon Way, Suite 150, Irving, TX 75063 REQUIREMENTS Main Experience: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or closely related field and three (3) years of post-bachelors progressive experience as an (all levels) Information Systems Engineer, Computer Engineer, Software Developer or related occupation. Alternate Experience: In lieu of a Bachelors degree in stated fields and three (3) years of experience, employer will accept a Masters degree in stated fields and one (1) year stated experience. Special Skills: Also requires one (1) year of experience in the following: Using object Oriented Technologies like C#, .net framework and vendor SDKs / APIs; Using Relational Databases like SQL server to handle data storage requirements of existing and new applications; Documenting and maintaining software functionality for existing and new software systems; Using object-oriented design principles and architectures; Implementing RESTful web services utilizing the Web API framework; and Implementing distributed systems and architectures, including SOA, SaaS, and micro services.
