The Grants Manager will be responsible for ensuring we can tell the story of our work to the grantors that invest in our success. In fulfilling this responsibility, the Grants Manager will research, organize, write and manage a portfolio of foundation, corporate, and government grants. The Grants Manager will partner with our contracts manager, program staff, accounting, and our Chief Operations Officer to ensure quality grant proposals and contractual compliance with funded grants.

Compliance
  • Provide guidance to program teams on grant requirements and collaboratively develop a system for tracking those requirements and ensuring they are fulfilled.
  • Collaborate with program teams to draft reports.
  • Assemble all necessary supporting materials/documents and outcome measurements and submit to grantors.
  • In partnership with the Finance team, manage and ensure that all invoices and monies are collected on time and grant budgets are being expended in a timely and complete manner.
  • Monitor grant start and end dates to ensure no lapse in contract coverage and other alternatives are secured through existing or new funding
  • Review and inform the direction of new and renewing grant applications.
  • Maintain correspondence and documentation ensuring records are organized, accurate, and well maintained.
  • Develop a system to keep program and leadership teams informed about our ongoing progress in meeting grantors expectations.
Program Evaluation
  • Track progress toward organizational and programmatic outcomes and goals.
  • Create a review process to evaluate the effectiveness of programs by developing feedback methods, conducting program participant interviews, and recording results for evaluation.
  • Train program staff to interview program participants and record information.
  • Create a plan to increase programming quality and efficacy.
  • May be required to deliver regular and annual reports to various stakeholders.
Grant Proposals
  • Research statistics, trends, and data for grant proposals, both from external sources as well as CP s programming.
  • Prepare and organize materials for grant applications and proposals.
  • Assist in writing grant applications.
  • Assist in developing presentations for various stakeholders.

  • Self-starter and problem-solver with a strong work ethic.
  • Have a passion for the mission of Community Passageways, a strong sense of accountability, and respect for families, individuals, and communities who have been oppressed.
  • Experience as a staff member supporting a community-centered, anti-racist, highly effective organization with a strong staff culture.
  • Ability to earn trust, inspire support, and elevate voices from a wide range of stakeholders--young people to elders, Community Ambassadors to the CEO, community-based organizations to system officials.
  • A fair and thoughtful approach to management, combined with the flexibility and courage to shift direction and experiment with new initiatives.
  • Maintain a coaching and listening style of communication, an ethic of openness and transparency, and a sense of humor.
  • Deeply understand and actively work to dismantle systemic racism and other forms of oppression impacting our communities.
  • A commitment to integrity and justice with a long-term perspective of possibility.
