DevOps Engineer

Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Weehawken, NJ [hybrid mode (3 days office + 2 days remote)]
Duration: 6+ Months (Possibility of Extension)

JD:

Experience in Enterprise level Cloud Based Application Deployment, Automation and DevOps implementations
Strong background administering scalable infrastructure in a public cloud environment. (Azure preferred.)
Hands-on experience, Design, test, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, ADO.
Hand-on experience with DevOps automation, "infrastructure as code", and continuous integration/deployment practices as much as possible.
Familiarity with agile development process and working with multiple teams
Knowledge of cloud provisioning, IaC tools like Terraform, ARM, & CM tools like Ansible, Chef etc.,
Build, maintain, and support all cloud-based IaC pipelines with unit testing and code quality
Experience with container technologies, such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes, serverless containers, helm & chart museum.
Strong understanding of logging, monitoring and operational aspects of cloud applications
Design and develop automation and testing tools across the entire development stack
Identify measurable dimensions (including ROI) of a problem and present the options with pros and cons
Create and maintain documentation on configuration, troubleshooting, design etc.
Set up and maintain automated monitoring of all systems, to ensure maximum uptime and peak performance including incident triaging
Proficiency in systems engineering - Unix systems, network technologies, and security, along with expert knowledge of associated tools and utilities.
Strong debugging and problem solving skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
Solid understanding of load balancing concepts and hands on experience working on load balancers including Service mesh
Good command on mutual authentication, networking concepts, DNS, ACls and vips.
Ability to lead, design and develop scalable software's while working with other teams.
Ability to quickly learn new and existing technologies.
Strong problem solving skills, software development and debugging skills.
DevOps dashboard tools like hygieia, Grafana and tool-chain integrations with measuring key DevOps metrics for continuous improvements
Experience with core scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Go and Java, as well as strong Unix/shell skills
