Frontend Engineer

Tasks

For our next phase of growth, we are looking to add a talented and motivated Frontend Engineer to join the Lisbon engineering team. As one of the first engineers, you will play an integral role in designing, improving, and delivering products in a customer-centric manner that will empower consumer goods brands and suppliers to better connect, collaborate, and transact.

In this position, you will:

• Be a pioneer in the development of an innovative marketplace and SaaS solution for the consumer goods industry
• Interact closely with our product team to support our product-led growth approach
• Own your projects from software design to implementation and deployment
• Implement features quickly without sacrificing code quality
• Implement cutting-edge technologies and write state-of-the-art code
• Transform UI designs and mockups into pages and flows using CSS3 and JavaScript frameworks such as Bootstrap and React
• Build modular front-end code leveraging various backend services

Requirements

You should:

• 4+ years of experience developing applications with with React (Angular and Vue will also be considered)
• Good understanding of HTTP protocol
• Experience in integrating with RESTful APIs and collaborating with Backend teams to create mocks, define payloads, and HTTP status of APIS
• Experience with automated, unit, and behavioral testing of React components
• Experience with Storybook (Nice to have)
• Ability to produce clean and maintainable code, with a strong focus on testing
• Have an entrepreneurial, growth mindset and a hands-on attitude that takes full ownership of work
• Be a team player with high integrity
• A customer focus, and a strong drive for results
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent context changes
• Good relationship skills
• Live in Lisbon or within a comfortable commute distance

Our current platform is developed using Spring Framework, Elasticsearch, Postgresql, React, Typescript, Keycloak, AWS.
