Turing is looking for a remote Software Developer on behalf of a fast-growing FinTech company transforming the car buying experience through an end-to-end mobile platform. As a developer operating in the back-end systems team, you will be responsible for building features from scratch, integrating with 3rd party APIs, and controlling the flow of large sums through the applications. The company has developed a new game-changing application that offers users the ability to shop, get approved, and pay for a car all within the platform on a mobile device. This job presents a great opportunity for highly motivated engineers with a passion for helping to build out a world-class automotive platform. It requires a time overlap with PT.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain microservices
- Architect and implement APIs, managing cross-service integration
- Develop test cases and create a robust, fault-tolerant service
- Collaborate cross-functionally and work actively with job processing and message queues
- Integrate scalable, robust, and distributed systems
- Test, deploy, and monitor changes in test and production environments, addressing issues as they arise
- Participate with meaningful contributions in code reviews on GitHub
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience in professional software development
- Professional experience using Python and building APIs
- Proficiency with SQL databases and query languages
- Good knowledge of ORMs is preferred (e.g., SQLAlchemy)
- Sound expertise in building and operating cloud software - AWS or a similar cloud platform
- Expert skills in automated testing (unit, functional, and integration tests)
