Turing is looking for a remote Senior Software QA Automation Engineer on behalf of a US-based cloud infrastructure platform that enables media buyers to drive ROI and engage their target audience. The developer will be responsible for planning and executing tests to validate and benchmark several server-side features. The NASDAQ-listed company has been extending the global infrastructure that it owns and operates as well as cultivating programmatic innovation. They have managed to secure fundings worth $62.9 mn+ so far. This role requires an overlap with the IST timezone and will be an exciting opportunity for developers to work in a creative and fast-paced work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Integrate end-to-end tests with CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor and improve metrics around test coverage and pass rates
- Work in a dynamic, agile development environment and be adaptable to changing requirements
- Work closely with hardware and software industry technical experts and design teams to come up with test requirements and specifications
- Develop automated test suites to increase the functional and integration automation test coverages
- Take charge of coming up with and executing scale tests, performance, and longevity tests
- Calibrate QA Automation tools using object-oriented programming
- Help in building new scalable software solutions and products through innovations, test plans, execution, and inputs
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a QA Automation Engineer
- Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
- Must be proficient in automation frameworks
- Hands-on experience with test Automation of any back-end applications (e.g., DB, server-side) using Python
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies
- Solid scripting, problem analysis, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in databases, preferably MySQL
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming
- Performance testing experience with relevant automation and monitoring tools
- Previous knowledge of Dockerization or Virtualization is highly desired
- Expertise in REST/API testing is a plus
- Basic understanding of OS is desirable
