Turing is looking for a remote Senior Software Engineer on behalf of a US-based company that has developed the next-generation technologies that change how millions of users access mobility. The developer will be working closely with the existing team of front-end engineers to build features that drive the company’s customer experience. The firm is dedicated to providing users with freedom of personal mobility to all who want it. The company has so far managed to raise funding worth more than $2 bn. This role requires some overlap with the PST time zone.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally to design and build new platform features
- Develop and maintain microservices, APIs, robust, fault-tolerant services and handle various forms of testing
- Implement robust distributed systems and contribute to the engineering culture
- Test, deploy, and monitor changes in test and production environments
- Work with customer support teams to tackle and mitigate issues as they arise
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- Minimum of 2+ years professional experience with Python and building APIs for customer-facing applications
- Solid expertise in SQL databases, query languages, and ORMs (e.g., SqlAlchemy)
- Profound development skills in building and operating cloud software AWS, along with automated testing (unit, functional, and integration tests)
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently as well as contribute and excel in a team environment
- Great communication skills
