Remote Senior Software Back-end-heavy Engineer (Go/PHP, Docker, and Kubernetes)

Turing is looking to hire a remote Senior Software Back-end-heavy Engineer on behalf of a rapidly-growing company developing an app that allows people to buy and sell anything from anywhere through the strength of the community. The developer will be responsible for helping the company grow a next-generation system with their modern skills and attitudes. The platform is the perfect place for users to tidy their homes or discover new stuff, making trading items even easier. The company has managed to secure funding worth over $100 mn so far. This will be an exciting opportunity for developers to build innovative solutions and expand their skill sets.

Job Responsibilities:

- Analyze and develop end-to-end designs for strengths and weaknesses
- Perform unit and integration testing
- Secure and establish development practices
- Optimize components at scale for maximum performance
- Diagnose, fix bugs and performance bottlenecks on the platform


Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- 3+ years of industry programming experience with Go or PHP
- Experience designing, developing, and managing microservices
- Professional engineering experience with consumer applications
- Proficiency in articulating clean-code with appropriate tests
- Solid expertise with Docker and Kubernetes, as well as similar systems
- Proven track record of deploying systems on cloud-based infrastructure, GCP, or similar technologies
