Turing is looking for a remote Senior QA Automation Engineer on behalf of a Fintech firm based in the US specializing in financial reporting and enterprise performance management software. The selected candidate will work with a technical lead and product manager to clearly define product requirements. The company's cutting-edge solution harnesses the power of technology and enterprise data to improve financial intelligence. The company has so far managed to secure funding exceeding $795 mn. This will be a long-term role that requires an overlap with the EST/PST time zone.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage automated test suites and infrastructure
- Roll out test strategies on an iterative basis, continuously improving transparency and efficiency
- Make informed decisions on automation and speed up development
- Recognize both positive and negative test conditions from products, users, and other related documents
- Come up with realistic test cases with notable pre-conditions and expected results for successful execution
- Utilize different forms of testing techniques to identify, track and report bugs including potential software risk
- Communicate effectively and regularly with stakeholders on progress and support releases
- Leverage standard techniques to design and execute non-functional testing, including performance, security and accessibility
- Curb risks using multiple testing approaches and tools, focusing on prevention
- Participate actively within the team during stand-ups, sprint planning and other recommended meetings
- Be an initial point of contact for testing issues and escalate accordingly
- Collaborate in an agile development team participating fully in various application functions
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3-5+ years of commercial software testing automation experience
- Solid expertise in modern programming languages - C# or Java
- Nice to have outstanding skills in test automation tools and infrastructure such as Ranorex, Selenium, and Jenkins
- Proficiency in various web technologies - gRPC, SOAP, REST, and OData
- Have full comprehension of the software development process, best practices, and concepts
- Familiarity with the design, development, and management of test cases and suites, leveraging data-driven testing
- Track record of working in an Agile development environment
- Competency in handling the overall software solutions design, development, and implementation
