Turing is looking for a remote Senior Back-end Engineer on behalf of a US-based company utilizing AI technologies to increase fleet productivity, auto dispatch, customer care, and last-mile routing software. The developer will work on ensuring the platform conforms with the needs of the customers. The platform provides highly performant operations by integrating AI with engaging user interfaces. It has managed to raise funding worth $23 mn+ so far. This is a nice opportunity for developers to work on next-gen technologies while making rapid career progression.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop the back-end systems that support the product
- Quickly context switch to new projects
- Provide strategic guidance in areas impacting the overall system architecture
- Work toward the development of new features
- Take ownership of the full back-end stack - from design through to deployment and beyond
- Architect and implement scalable, fault-tolerant large-scale distributed systems with large volumes of data
- Work with the Solutions Architecture and Product teams to negotiate product requirements
- Enhance the platform for maximum efficiency, reliability, and scalability
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
- 5+ years of hands-on design and coding with JavaScript (preferred), Scala, or Java
- Prolific experience with AWS services and related serverless architectures such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM, etc.
- Track record of building REST APIs and other common application architectures
- Sound understanding of infrastructures and systems as they relate to data and the back-end
- Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with Scala + Akka technologies is nice to have
- Familiarity with AWS cloud-native architecture
- Must be a problem solver with excellent communication skills
- Experience developing serverless applications
