Remote Full Stack Back-end-heavy Developer (Python, Django, PostgreSQL, React)

Only candidates with 4+ years of overall software development experience are eligible for this role.

Turing is looking to hire a remote Full Stack Back-end-heavy Developer on behalf of a US-based company developing an efficient system for the distribution and sales of tubes and steel pipes on online platforms. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the company’s Data and API services. The company connects global MNCs and small local businesses with urgent demands to unused stocks via an online platform. This will be a full-time role and will require some overlap with the CST time zone. It is an exciting opportunity to work with a company backed by both industry experts and technology veterans.

Job Responsibilities:

- Build features and functionality supporting a Sales Management application
- Work on a variety of tasks ranging from opportunity management, a custom CRM, and more
- Lead the company’s Data and API services efforts
- Help drive application quality and best practices
- Integrate best practices for both relational and non-relational systems of records
- Coordinate and mentor less experienced engineers
- Assist in scaling the engineering processes to increase velocity and drive success
- Participate in cross-functional project teams to boost business growth
- Ensure integrity, take ownership, and show kindness to team members


Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience working as a Full Stack or Back-end developer
- Demonstrable skills working with Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and React
- Sound knowledge of Fast API and AWS
- Experience building RESTful APIs with Python
- Nice to have some knowledge of Solr / ElasticSearch
- Prior experience creating integrations and an understanding of dependencies management
