Remote Engineer Lead (Node.js, React.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS)

The engineer will be responsible for the product, architecture, and resourcing decisions while leading and developing a high-performing and diverse team of engineers. Job Responsibilities:

- Lead and develop a high performing and diverse team of talented engineers
- Contribute to the establishment and sustenance of high standards for code quality, testing, and platform stability, focusing on quality and speed of delivery
- Lead and efficiently design a forward-thinking scalable system architecture
- Work closely with engineering, product, design, and business counterparts to design and build innovative, user-friendly web and mobile applications
- Actively implement continuous improvement of the engineering team as a whole through thoughtful code review and design documentation feedback
- Design and develop career planning and personal goal setting
- Consistently innovate on internal processes to help the team achieve more with less and maintain a high delivery speed


Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- Must be proficient in Node.js, React.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS
- Nice to have some experience with Next.js
- Background in consumer apps such as social, fintech, or marketplaces
- Strong desire to build a comprehensive, diverse, and high-performing team
- Possess a customer-centric mindset and have strong empathy for users
- Ability to build and launch products from the ground up
