Turing is looking for a remote Data Engineer/BI on behalf of a well-funded financial technology enterprise rendering services to high-growth vertical software platforms. The engineer will take full responsibility and ownership of high-level initiatives that improve projects and impact customer experiences. The company is dedicated to delivering highly innovative client solutions that reduce friction and boosts revenue. The candidate will work with a global team of passionate payments and software experts led by industry veterans from top organizations such as PayPal, Worldpay, and more. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity and requires a minimum of 5 hours overlap with EST.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the engineering team to solve complex problems at large
- Contribute to building a scalable platform using the best engineering practices
- Work on refining the business requirements and evolving the payments platform
- Take full ownership and responsibility for the features and services you build
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer
- Must have some experience in AWS, emphasizing on Glue, Lake Formation, S3, Athena, Redshift, RDS, QuickSight, Lambda, and Pyspark
- Capable of adequately building and managing a pipeline of ETL
- Proficiency with Domo, Apache Spark, and other related aspects is a plus
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work cross-functionally with teams that have diverse backgrounds
