Turing is looking to hire a remote Back-end Engineer on behalf of a US-based company dedicated to building a global embedded deep payments platform. The developer will be working with the existing team to build new capabilities and features for the platform. The platform offers customers a world-class embedded payment solution. The company has secured fundings worth more than $70 mn during their Series A round. This will be a full-time, long-term position and requires a minimum of 5 hours overlap with the EST time zone. It is an excellent opportunity to work closely with payments and software experts to build an exceptional payment platform.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build, execute and maintain processor integrations and certifications, payments related features and improvements
- Own high-level initiatives and execute them successfully
- Integrate well tested, production-grade code, and solve technical problems
- Build scalable code that meets internal standards for maintainability and best practices
- Support and mentor other engineers on the team, evangelizing high-quality software engineering practices
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
- Exceptionally skilled with PHP and related technologies
- Experience working with AWS, EC2 instances, load balancers, etc.
- Must have prior experience working with payment platforms and technology
- Nice to have some knowledge of PostgreSQL, TypesScript, Node.js, and Rest APIs
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
