Turing.com is looking for a Back-end Engineer on behalf of a well-established company empowering entrepreneurs to scale their businesses to new heights by providing them access to the right technology and tools. The selected candidate must have strong experience in designing and implementing REST APIs. The company has pioneered the CRM, sales, and marketing automation category for small businesses and revolutionized the industry with their innovative solutions. The company has managed to raise $200 mn+ in funding so far. The developer will be working with a highly collaborative cross-functional team of designers, developers, product managers, and quality engineers. This role requires 6+ hours overlap with the MST time zone.
Job Responsibilities:
Proactively research best practices in development, follow up online trends and explore new/inventive techniques
Interactively ask questions, push to understand the customer experience
Evaluate for platform QA, cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device compatibility
Build and run highly-scalable services with flexibility and deliver an amazing user experience to any platform
Ensure and maintain high standards for the technology for everything that is built or operated by the team
Establish best practices around the design, development, testing, deployment, and operation of all aspects of the platform
Ensure projects are completed and properly documented according to specifications and timelines
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5-8+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
Prolific knowledge of testing frameworks like Mocha, Jest, etc.
Extensive experience working with Java, Spring, HTML5, Vue, React, and JavaScript
Demonstrable skills with Git/GitHub, Maven, Gradle, JIRA, Confluence, and CircleCI
Experience developing under Agile, SCRUM, or similar iterative unified processes is nice to have
In-depth understanding of security best practices
Proficient with secure coding best practices
Advanced coding skills and programming knowledge
Experience building secure, robust, and highly scalable back-end systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong collaborative nature and documentation skills
