Turing is looking to hire a remote Algorithms Engineer on behalf of a rapidly-growing US-based company providing world-class routing software services using AI technologies. The developer will develop cutting-edge real-time optimization algorithms for the platform. The company's patented algorithm consumes data from the client's operations on a continuous basis and creates real-time routing decisions. The platform has managed to secure $23 mn+ worth of funding so far. This will be an excellent opportunity for developers to join a fast-scaling team to impact the AI space.
Job Responsibilities:
- Enhance the optimization algorithms to follow customer requirements/needs
- Identify problems and design robust solutions based on state of the art algorithms and software technologies
- Focus on algorithmic development
- Design and build the platform for real-time logistics optimization and analysis
- Develop the advanced optimization algorithms that power the platform
- Communicate and collaborate with the product team in scoping and designing top-notch solutions
- Work with AR scientists to design, prototype, implement and evaluate algorithmic solutions
- Deploy solutions using cloud-native services
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
- 3+ years of hands-on design and coding with Scala (preferred), Java, and C
- Proficient with constructing and improving optimization algorithms
- Familiarity with AWS cloud-native architecture
- Proficient understanding of data infrastructure and back-end systems
- Familiarity with AWS is a plus
- Familiarity with optimization packages such as CPLEX, Gurobi, etc. is desired
- Research and publication experience is nice to have
- Excellent English communication skills
