Virtual Systems Engineer

This is a remote position.

Our focus is on developing the very best mobile and web applications and building long-term relationships with our clients. We are currently looking for a Virtual Systems Engineer (Mid- Sr. ) to add to our growing team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Share on-call responsibilities to provide 24x7 support.
  
• Help develop and implement systems monitoring, business continuity, and IT disaster recovery plans.
  
• Help verify correctness, stability, interoperability, security, and scalability of system DevOps architecture.
  
• Help design, build and maintain core application and security infrastructure the company s developer teams use.
  
• Troubleshoot production issues across services and levels of the stack.
  
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  
• At least 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, systems engineering, and administration (esp. Linux-based systems).
  
• Some experience in database administration.
  
• Solid understanding of networking
  
• Experience in cloud computing across different providers such as AWS ( ECS, Lambda ), Dynamo, DBRDS/Aurora, and possibly along with the tools that interface with such platforms (eg. Docker, Terraform, Lambda, ECS).
  
• A knack for finding flaws in software and can effectively evaluate both their business impact and remediation.
  
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within and outside the company.
  
• Experience in security red/blue-teaming is a plus.
  
• Experience with Kafka and/or MSK is highly desirable
