JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for the master production schedule for a set of mid-high complexity production lines at a site to ensure that the plan is delivered balancing production/planning parameters service, safety, stock and costs.

Duties are undertaken within general policies and procedures, with room to deviate providing the required end results are delivere.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Strong commitment towards teamwork and to achieve business system requirements.
  • Produces and updates a detailed tube, components and sheet production schedules and plan using KBM and other data systems to ensure plan is up-to-date and optimized to maximize availability of finished goods for customers and minimize machine downtime.
  • Monitors forecast, customer orders for unexpected changes and revises plans as required. Utilize Backlog report from KBM. Review documents, including but not limited to production schedules and work orders to determine material requirements and priorities.
  • Revise production schedules when required due to customer demand labor or material shortages, back logs or other interruptions collaborating with management sales production or engineering or other interruptions collaborating with management
  • Responsible for developing site Supply Chain personnel.
  • Manage safety stock levels in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Management of part numbers and product structure in KBM.
  • Plan and manage raw materials and consumable supply levels for production.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE
(TECHNICAL/ PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS COMPETENCY)

  • Buyer/Planner certificate or equivalent from college or technical school.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience with the focus on purchasing and ordering supplies.
  • Ability to occasionally lift 10 – 20 pounds.
  • Employee must be able to stand, sit, and walk frequently.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as proportions and percentages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Robust data analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to professionally communicate with all levels of the organization as well as external clients and contacts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
