Cost Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Perform month end close activities related to cost accounting.
• Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing on PPV, IPV, RM-USAGE variances.
• Ensure validity and accuracy of ERP through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production and work order processing.
• Set up new raw material, packaging, WIP, and FG items; create and maintain production BOMs; maintain periodic cost rolls/updates (in coordination with Engineering).
• Develop and maintain standard cost of finished goods and production components in Oracle system.
• Analyzes changes in product design, raw material, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs.
• Profitability analysis on Costing Projects and follow up on audit requirements for costing environment.
• Passthrough of cost associated with material increase for direct suppliers in coordination with COM teams.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations on costing accounts.
• Represent Finance/Accounting on teams designed to improve operations, reduce costs, etc.

Inventory

• Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Coordinate BOMs audits.
• Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues.
• Update Standard cost in the BOMs.
• Work with the materials team to locate and dispose of obsolete inventory (E&O Reserve calculation).

Requirements

• Bachelor in Finance Accounting, Business Administration, or similar.
• 5+ years solid experience in manufacturing costing area.
• 3+ years of accounting/finance solid experience.
• You have knowledge in Oracle system.
• Experience in budgets and general accounting.
• English proficiency.
