Perform month end close activities related to cost accounting.
Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing on PPV, IPV, RM-USAGE variances.
Ensure validity and accuracy of ERP through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production and work order processing.
Set up new raw material, packaging, WIP, and FG items; create and maintain production BOMs; maintain periodic cost rolls/updates (in coordination with Engineering).
Develop and maintain standard cost of finished goods and production components in Oracle system.
Analyzes changes in product design, raw material, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs.
Profitability analysis on Costing Projects and follow up on audit requirements for costing environment.
Passthrough of cost associated with material increase for direct suppliers in coordination with COM teams.
Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations on costing accounts.
Represent Finance/Accounting on teams designed to improve operations, reduce costs, etc.
Inventory
Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
Coordinate BOMs audits.
Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues.
Update Standard cost in the BOMs.
Work with the materials team to locate and dispose of obsolete inventory (E&O Reserve calculation).
Requirements
Bachelor in Finance Accounting, Business Administration, or similar.
5+ years solid experience in manufacturing costing area.
