We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our clients team. The selected candidate will be a person with strong leadership skills, who can communicate clearly to all stakeholders and someone who displays a strong sense of presence and charisma. Working closely with all teams and functions of their operations, the selected candidate will be highly involved in creating designs, project management, all technical and electrical matters related to the operations.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Ourclient is a leading supplier of PV, solar systems and equipment and is located in Marsa.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate computer- assisted design / engineering software and equipment to aid in designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.
- Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
- Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings.
- Writing / Daily reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects, PV sites and studies.
- Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
- Supervise, train and manage projects including but not limited to engineering, operations and logistics.
- Estimating material, labour, or construction costs for budget preparation.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Preference will be given to candidates having experience as an Electrical Engineer and / or having experience in the Renewable energy sector but not limited to Photovoltaic Panels, Solar Water Heaters, Reverse Osmosis, Air Conditions etc.
- Proficiency in using ACAD.
- Creative and able to work on own initiative.
- Ability to manage a team.
- Target driven.
- Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Working knowledge of the Maltese language will be considered an asset.
- Organised and able to prioritise tasks according to urgency and work load.
- Driving licence.
EDUCATION
- Electrical Engineering degree and Electrical Warrant will be considered an asset.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- 40K+ p.a.
- Company vehicle and phone will be provided.

- Minimum 3 years of extensive practical experience in a similar role in Malta. - Ability to present ideas effectively, evaluate ideas of others, and possess excellent motivational & leadership skills. - IT Literate able to use Auto-Cad, experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Microsoft Projects. - Good command of written and spoken English and Maltese language. - Driving Licence B.
