sennder is Europe s leading digital freight forwarder. In a traditional industry we are moving fast to digitize and automate all road logistics processes. We are a growing team looking for a director of its road transport spot solution department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. You would join our Shippers Acquisition team in the Wroclaw, Bucharest or Riga office.

As the director of our road transport spot solutions you ll work on interesting responsibilities like business development, market expansion, direct and indirect management of the road transport spot team. You ll be collaborating closely with internal stakeholders in sales and operations to develop the revenue and profitability of the spot business of sennder in its all European locations.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Manage a large team of spot solutions experts (operational and functional) including direct and indirect management
  • Develop strong data insights to understand and steer profitable revenue performance
  • Constantly optimize operational processes in cross-functional cooperation with our Global Operation, Carrier Management & Product teams
  • Set up the strategy and the tactical roll out for growing profitable revenue through spot business on a daily basis and by developing strategic initiatives together with your internal counterparts in Operations and Sales departments.
  • Define KPIs and quality metrics to measure and follow up the performance of your direct and indirect teams
  • Set high performance standards for the scaled spot function across the company
  • Closely work with internal teams to strengthen our value added service across Europe

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE

  • Experience in building and leading highly successful and motivated operational teams (5+ people) preferably in road transportation environment
  • Strong drive to grow our value added services sales to an industry-leading level, a passion for building and impact
  • Experience in direct and indirect management of international teams, leading by example and supporting their growth
  • Strong experience in transport and logistics in an international environment
  • Ability to work cross functionally with product, sales and operations teams
  • Data-driven and KPI-based management approach
  • Fluent English - we are an international company. Polish or any other European language will be a plus
