- Develops, and adapts security rules, safety management protocols and ensures periodic reviews and compliance.
- Supports the Head of Operation in setting up mechanisms in regard to Crisis management (preparedness)
- Leads/organises the Beirut security and safety working group and supports (SSWG) the Head of Sub Delegations in the management of their respective SSWGs
- Provides analysis on developments and potential safety impacts on ICRC staff & assets through contributing to meetings.
- Develops monitoring tools for security-related issues (incidents, passive security measures, car movements, etc.) and ensures all incidents are reported timely in the Security system. * Develops and strengthens a network of relevant external security contacts.
- Provides comprehensive security briefings for all new staff or professional visitors to Lebanon.
