Assist students in the areas of academic development as well as emotional and social development.
Collaborate with administration, teachers, and parents to better understand and meet the needs of all students.
Provide individual and small group counseling as needed.
Continually plan, evaluate, and revise the school/stage counseling program and respective policies
Pursue continuous professional development and growth.
Prepare students for transition to next level (primary stage to middle stage)
Make appropriate referrals of students and parents to outside when necessary.
Provide individual planning sessions for each student in the areas of academic planning.,
Resolve conflict between students when needed
Report daily logs of incidents that happen during school hours with students to the stage principal and school principal
Keep a record for every student so that it is a base of reference when needed
Conduct small group counseling sessions in response to identified needs within the school system. Topics may include academic skill building, social development, conflict resolution, family issues, making healthy choices, bullying..
