Job Description

  1. Develop criteria and establish mother to mother support group and nutrition committees.
  2. Training and mentoring lead mother groups on IYCF key messages.
  3. Developing IYCF key messages and finalizing it after getting inputs from the technical supervisors.
  4. To promote positive Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) Practices in the community.
  5. Designing IEC materials on nutrition and IYCF in specific.
  6. Designing and disseminating messages to address the sharing of the therapeutic food by healthy children in order to minimize the sharing of therapeutic food.
  7. Educate the child caregivers on the food preparation procedure through food demonstrations.
  8. Promote appropriate household level on complementary and weaning foods preparation.
  9. Support in identifying training needs and implement ongoing didactic and on-job training activities targeting health care providers to enhance the integration of IYCF/CMAM services within the health system
  10. Integrate cross cutting issues that have an impact on nutrition such as sanitation and hygiene.
