Nurse in Charge

This position is under the emergency Consultancy Agreement Detailed Job Description To provide and follow up comprehensive nursing care activities in collaboration with the medical doctors at the inpatients treatment center of COVID 19 in Azraq camp To supervise and support nursing staff during the shift and provide nursing care To compile the regular shift report and report any issues to the oncall manager and nurse supervisor Support and promote the implementation of safe quality health care practices for all patients as set by the association of Jordan Nursing and Midwifery and Ministry of Health Identify and assess patients care needs and develop appropriate plan of care in accordance with medical orders given by the treating doctors clinical protocols nursing guidelines and procedures Actively participate in direct patient care including administration of medicines dressings patient mobilization patient hygiene and other aspects of patient care as required Maintain accurate and eligible written patient records Ensure the continuity of patient care by both written and verbal handover of patient care from one shift to another and when transferring patients Identify and respond to high risk patients and initiate emergency care when necessary Participate in regular nursing trainings and meetings Provide handover reports between working shifts To communicate and cooperate effectively with the multidisciplinary team Identify training needs in less experienced staff and participate in in service training programmers Provide support to relatives and attendants Ensure good standards of hygiene according to IPC policies and SoPs in the wards at all times Ensure the maintenance of adequate stocks of material for routine ward consumption Contribute to correct drug stock control and efficient use of hospital equipment Ensure prompt reporting and submission of internal request repairs of non functional equipment medical and non medical to the appropriate departments for repair Perform other duties assigned requested by the Line Managers and Hospital Manager Commit to a confidential clause Personal and medical information relating to patients which is obtained during their hospital stay is strictly confidential Additional Tasks when requested Minimum Requirements 1 Bachelor Degree in Nursing 2 License to practice in Jordan 3 Minimum 4 years of experience and one year in a similar supervisor field
